GROW THE DREAM OF

YOUTH CRICKET IN SPOKANE.

$50 a month, year-round, puts one kid on the field for a season.

$25 a month takes them halfway.

Donate used equipment

Steady monthly support is what lets us plan a season rather than hope for one.

Spokane Cricket Academy is a fiscally-sponsored project of the Spokane Independent Metro Business Alliance (SIMBA), a 501(c)(3). Your donation is tax-deductible. The proceeds of your donation directly support the Academy.

Prefer to give by check? Make it payable to Spokane Cricket Academy c/o SIMBA and mail to SIMBA, 25 W. Main Ave., Ste. C1, Spokane, WA 99201.
Tax receipts are issued automatically for online gifts, and by mail for checks.

Every kid who shows up plays for free.

That's only possible because the community carries the real costs behind the season: Northwest Cricket League participation fees, the city's fee to use the Underhill Park cricket pitch, coaching (which we're working toward paying fairly and consistently), and everything else a season needs — equipment, travel to away games, and water on the field. As the program grows, that support is what lets us dream bigger too: practice for more ages with more paid coaches, and one day, one-on-one coaching scholarships for players ready to go further.

Give something specific:

A match ball
$25
A new ball starts every game. This buys one.
A uniform for one player
$35
Shirt, trousers, and hat for one young person. A one-time cost that lasts until they outgrow it.
A training bat for one player
$49
Match bats cost $300 to $600 and break when used for practice. A training bat lets a player work on technique without risking one.
An umpire for one game
$50
Every game needs a paid umpire, home or away. We play 10 games a season.
Repair a bat
$85
Handle replacement, toe repair, cracked edges. A new match bat costs $300 to $600, so we repair whenever we can.
Kit the wicket keeper
$120
Gloves at $59, inners at $12, and pads at $49. Only one player wears these. Every ball comes at them.
Coaching for one week
$180
Moving to two sessions a week, two hours each, at $45 an hour. This work has been done by a volunteer since 2022.
Refreshments for the season
$200
We bring water, sports drinks, and fruit for the breaks between innings.
Kit one player for the season
$284
SG Savage kit, sized to the player. Bat, pads, gloves, thigh guard, arm guard, helmet, shoes, and bag. Three players have their own. The rest share.
Afghan celebration dinner
$350
Families pack lunch and dinner all season. This is the one proper meal we buy — Afghan food at the end of the summer, a taste of home.
A team trip to Seattle
$360
Eight league games are in the Seattle area, played across four weekends. This covers one of the four. Twelve travel to each match: a van at $208 plus fuel, 560 miles.
The ground for whole season
$640
Underhill Park cricket pitch, booked through City of Spokane Parks. Two fields, moving to two days a week, May to September. Three dollars an hour per field.

Business Sponsors

Spokane businesses can sponsor a season outright. Sponsors are named on our team shirts, on this site, and at home games at Underhill Park.
Launch the Otters
$400
In 2027 our players enter the Northwest Cricket League as their own team for the first time. Entry is $800, halved under the league's youth rate.
Uniforms for the whole team
$525
Shirts and trousers for the Otters squad, and Spokane Cricket Academy hats for every player in the program.
A season of away travel
$1,440
Eight league games are in the Seattle area, played across four weekends. This covers all four. Twelve players travel to each match, 560 miles each trip, van and fuel. A business with a twelve-seat van can cover this in kind rather than cash.
Coaching for one season
$3,600
Moving to two sessions every week from May to September, two hours each, at $45 an hour. This work has been done by a volunteer since 2022.
Restaurants and small businesses can also host a fundraising night, or sponsor a single away trip or a home-game meal. Email info@spokanecricketacademy.org and we will find something that fits.
